Can anyone tell me what sorts of foods are served at a proper high tea? (Recipes please if possible) Also, what (besides cucumber) are the makings of a proper cucmber sandwich? (type of bread, condiments, if any etc.) Thanks so much. I am giving a tea for the senior citizens at my church and I thought an authentic British High Tea would be quite lovely.
Also, what sort of tea would you recommend be served? Is there an “order” to the ways things are served etc.? I am in the US so my tea varieties would not be as extensive as in the UK but I believe I can find quite a few of the more popular types which should be served.

I live in the Sunset district, so it’s cloudy a lot of the time. Need something that doesn’t need a ton of sun. Can I plant tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, etc.?

Years ago I had a wonderful salad at an amazing Japanese resturant that is no longer around. I want to try and recreate it. Any similar recipes you can share would be great! All I remember is it had cucumber, sesame, and a fruit (perhaps cantelope or mango?). Thanks for your help!
P.S. If you have any Japanese inspired desserts and/or ideas, I would take a recipe of that as well!

It is a cucumber plant but it looks like it was growing cantaloupe, so we cut one open and it is a cucumber. The out side of it looks just like a cantaloupe. Please Help

I’m having a tea party for my mom in the evening. I need some sandwich recipes that are a little bit heartier that the normal cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches. But not something too complicated with a ton of ingredients, I don’t have a big budget.
Thanks!

I started growing some tomatoe and cucumbers in Dixie cups so I can plant them in the ground later. They just reached the stage where they loose the seed and have 2 leaves. When I moved them out a few days later the stems thinned out. One section of the stem about a centimeter long just thinned out and the plant is now drooping. What’s going on? Can I get the plants back to normal and how?
I haven’t transplanted them in the ground yet. They’re still in their dixie cups. I just moved the dixie cups outside.

Do you always have to buy the seeds or is there a trick for saving seeds for next year?

This guy in my french class brought in a dish for a food day that was basically cucumbers but they had sesame seeds and some type of brown (kinda sweet) sauce. I don’t remember his name, but the dish was Asian and pretty darn delicious. If anybody knows ofsomething like this, I’d be way excited to know!!

You know those box rectangle window planter boxes. Can I grow cucumbers and squash in those? If so how far apart?
If I grow them in 5 gallon buckets how many seeds do I plant in each bucket? Can they be 3 gallon buckets?
