I live in Michigan, and don’t have a large garden. I saw on here that someone else from Michigan grew them on a trellis. Also, what other types of vegetables are good to grow on a trellis?

I’m growing tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon, cantaloupe, broccoli, corn, sunflowers, marigolds, and pansy’s.
This is our first garden most of the things we have planted we have been able to harverst. There is a huge difference in taste between fresh picked out of the garden and store bought. I fear I may have planted too late (mid-June). Well I’ll sure learn from this years mistakes and avoid them next year.
This is my first year doing my own garden, and so far it’s doing really well. I have little bitty cucumbers on the vines all between 1 and 3 inches long. About how long will it take for them the be full grown and ready to pick?
I meant ‘to BE full grown’, I guess I should type slower and reread what I type.
Last year, the plants grew 8 inches then withered..
I live on the border of zone 6/7. I’m growing, spinach, lettuce, radishes, cucumbers, peas, and watermelon. I’ve grown spinach and cucumbers before with much success, but I’m new to radishes, lettuce, and watermelon. Any help?

I am trying to eat organic vegetables and would like to start growing some in backyard by hydroponics. I know there is a learning curve. Any suggestion on where or a book to start the learning process. Try to search on the internet but they want to sell product more than teach you how to do it . Would like to grow kale , tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. Any suggestions ?
I LOVE pickles. I haven’t started growing my cucumbers yet but I will be and I was wondering how do u pickle them to make pickles?
And I was also wondering, If you could grow cucumbers in hanging baskets. Can you? If not, what other fruits and vegetables can be grown in a hanging basket.
One last question, what would some good flowers be to grow in a hanging basket? I was going to put it by the front door and I was wondering what are some pretty and attractive flowers that I could put in the basket.
