What is this plant growing in my garden?

My mom was visiting and planted some stuff, I think its a cucumber but it seams awefully large and wrinkly to be a cucumber. I know she planted okra, cucumbers, and squash, can anyone tell by the leaf or the gourd?

Nevermind I found it, its an Armenian Cucumber….

We are considering moving into a 4 season climate in N Arizona and would like to start a smaller farm. Don’t know much about it but would like to provide enough food to support our family of 5. I have ordered a couple books but am looking at RE now and just wanted to know if we could be successful in a climate that receives small amounts of snow. Items I’d like to have are as follows

Potato
Lettuce
Carrots
Oranges
Cucumbers
Strawberries
Wheat

a really good tzatziki recipe?

I made a wrap today with chicken and cucumber and tomatoe
i thougth it would be good with tzatziki sauce, but i’ve found unless you go to a resturant, it’s hard to get a REALLY good recipe.

Alot of people on Yahoo answers just need to simply google something, but where’s the points in that right? so i dont blame them.

well, I’m looking for feedback, are there any good tzatziki sauce recipes that you have found to be really good?

how do you not over water a vegetable garden when seeds are germinating?

Does anyone have a recipe for canning pickles preferably dill and w/out alum?

Id love to can pickles and i love dill but sweet is ok too. I like them to crisp but i dont like the alum and id heard of techniques where u dont boil the cucumber u put it in raw so while sealing the cucumber/pickle doesnt become mushy. true? i just dont have the recipe for or know if its true? If anyone has any recipes or tips id appreciate it thank u.

ive made drills 15cm high and planted my potatoes, which of the following do you thik would be most suitable in the valley of the drills??
carrots
onions
lettuce
cabbage
brocolli
cucumber
pumpkins??
there is 30 cm between each drill, i have heavy clay soil.

water doesnt drain great in soil so something that likes water. P.S doesn’t have to be on my list

I need some ideas- We planted 1 row of peas in our backyard garden, but only half of the row came up. We have also planted broccoli, spinach, lettuce, potatoes, carrots, corn, beans, tomatoes, watermelon, cucumbers, and pumpkins. What are some ideas to plant in the half of the pea row that didn’t come up? Thanks

How do i get rid of aphids in my garden..they are killing all my cucumber and squash plants.?

I need help..the aphid problem is out of control…i started spraying them as soon as i noticed them in my garden earlier this summer, i have used neem oil on both sides of leaves and that did not affect the aphids then i tried seven… which seemed to work in some areas then what i found out is i was spraying seven then the very next day i would inspect under the leaf and there will be new live aphids next to the dead ones…and i know im not giving them time to reproduce cuz i am spraying every five days, the aphids have almost tottaly sucked the life out of all my cucumber vines most of my squash and pumkin vines and they infested all my sweet corn..i have ben literaly crying because no mater what i do the aphids always win..now all my plants are covered with powdery mildew where the worst of the infestation occured which i know is from the aphids spreading the disease. I have a large garden with 6, 15 foot rows horizontaly and 2, 30 foot rows vertically..what should i do, should i pull everything up and try again next year..what upsets me is i live in socal and we have a long growing season and i could of had fresh cucumbers and squash until at least november.
