I planted a few watermelons in my garden and a cucumber plant started growing in the middle of these watermelons. They’re still small, but I was wondering if it’s possible.

Can cucumbers and watermelon cross pollinate?

No they are of a different species. Now melons, like watermelon and cantalope can cross pollinate, but it won’t matter to the initial melon, only if you want to save the seed and replant them. Then you might end up developing a new melon!

the above poster is right-they can’t cross polinate.
A donkey can cross breed with a horse. But a mule just can’t breed.

they can cross pollinate, but it would be spotty & uncertain (most would be self-crossed), & the occasional odd results would only show up in seed you take from either for use next year. . .
